Christian Rupp was the Federal Executive Secretary of the Austrian Government responsible for the e-Government Initiative 2003-2006. In this period Austria became the leading e-Government country in the EU benchmark. Since 2006 he is the Spokesperson of the Federal Platform Digital Austria (coordinating all e-Government projects at federal and local level as well as ICT standards between public administration and industry) and since 2016 also the Plenipotentiary for Digitization of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber as well as Coordinator of the SME DIGITAL initiative (a ten million Euro funding program to help SMEs and their employees in the digital transformation).

Christian Rupp is University Lecturer and Author of more than 30 books in the field of digital transformation strategies. As an external supervisor and expert of the EU, EIB, World Bank for the Digital Agenda (e.g. E-Government, E-Commerce, Open Data, E-Identities, Artificial Intelligence) as well as certified digital and management consultant he is especially involved in the Digital Balkan process.
