Marketing & Communications Specialist
Ivan Stamenov currently works as a Marketing and Communications Specialist, responsible for all activities that are covered by this role. Ivan has been very active within the NGO sector in the past 5 years, he started his very first volunteering experience while being part of the first student Career Center in the county, founded by the United States Agency for International Development also known as USAID. After this early involvement, Ivan signed up for university where he continued his studies in the field of Computer Science and Software Engineering which is his professional orientation ever since. Although dedicated to information sciences, he continued his community service as he joined the world’s biggest youth led organization - AIESEC (2012). This is where Ivan gained most of his experience, the organization literally transformed him into a young professional and helped him to develop on a personal level as well. In less than two years Stamenov switched trough several positions: from a Team Member in the Communications & Alumni to a Team Leader of the team responsible for Development and Support in the IT Sector which finally got him to his first decision-making role within the Executive Board of the Local Committee in Skopje where he worked as a Vice President & Head of Information Technology until August 2015. After this challinging year he candidated himself for a place in the National Board of AIESEC in Macedonia where after winning the elections and gaining the vote of confidence from the National Assembly, Ivan became one of the National Representatives , Vice President and Head of Information Management on national level. While working with the Association, Stamenov was active in the corporate sector as well, working for several companies, one of them is Makedonski Telekom A.D. (Deutsche Telekom Corporation) where he worked as a Junior Sales Representative within the Unit for Corporate Customers.
Ivan’s portfolio also includes organizational roles and realization of many projects and public events such as Career Days. Youth to Business Forum, Start Up Weekend, Code Camp, NASA Space Apps, Global Game Jam and more.
Stamenov is also a Co-founder of two NGOs such as the first
Mozilla Firefox Student Comunity in Macedonia and SmartUp – A platform for support and development of the ICT culture and affirmation of the entrepreneurship.
