Dana Gavish-Fridman is VP Marketing, responsible for overall strategic marketing and PR activities at Yissum, a technology transfer company of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Over the years, Yissum has registered over 9,300 patents covering 2,600 inventions; has licensed out 800 technologies and has spun-off 110 companies. Products that are based on Hebrew University technologies and were commercialized by Yissum generate today over $2 Billion in annual sales.
In the past ten years, Dana successfully brought early-stage scientific inventions to successful commercialization with multinational business partners. She is also responsible for business development activities related to technologies in the fields of chemistry, nanotechnology, and physics.
Prior to joining Yissum in 2004, Dana spent seven years as a producer at Israel’s Channel 2 television news, Associated Press Television, and Fox News. She subsequently worked in the business development area at several high-tech start-up companies, and at a business development consultancy.
Dana holds a BA in Political Science and Literature, and an Executive MBA in Integrative Management, both from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
