Sparkasse Bank Macedonia AD Skopje
Dr. Gligor Bisev was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of “Sparkasse Bank Macedonia AD Skopje” in June 2013. He also volunteers as Vice President of the Macedonian Chamber of Commerce.
He began his career in 1984 in the National Bank of the Republic of Macedonia, first as a junior economist and later in 1993 as a General Manager, in 1994 he was appointed Vice-Governor and in the period from 1997 to 2000 as Deputy Governor of the National Bank of the Republic of Macedonia. Since 2000, Dr. Bisev served as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Stopanska Banka AD Skopje.
In addition to his professional engagement, Dr. Bisev is also active in the field of economic sciences, as an associate professor at the Faculty of Economics – Prilep and a professor of postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Economics – Skopje.
He participated in the monetary independence reforms in the Republic of Macedonia. He has participated in numerous research projects in the fields of banking and monetary theory and policy, applied economics, economic development, exchange rate policies, balance of payments, international financial institutions, capital flows, corporate finance, investments and financial markets.
One of the most important functions he has performed in his career so far is co-chair of the Second Stability Pact Working Party on Economic Recovery and Development (January – June 2000).
Dr. Gligor Bisev, as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sparkasse Bank, is responsible for setting the Bank’s strategy and sales activities – working with individuals, managing liquidity, marketing and communications, human resources, accounting and control, coordination of the Cabinet of the Board of Directors, information systems security, and Internal Audit.
