Olimpija H. Zaevska is an international economy and development adviser to the Prime Minister of the Republic of North Macedonia. She works with investors and development banks that bring sustainable economic growth to the country and coordinates the engagement of the government with the Green Climate Fund, SDGs Agenda 2030 and the World Economic Forum.
To deal with complex issues of climate change, green cities, SMEs development and fourth industrial revolution readiness, particularly developing economies we have to move swiftly from mere strategies and talking to financing. Thus, Olimpija focuses on transformation capital and innovative funding models that blend public-private finance and de-risk together.
Previously, Olimpija has co-founded the Impact Institute for Research that pioneered digital voter advice applications in the country and has 10 years of research and project management experience. She holds MA degree in comparative politics and political economy from the Central European University in Budapest and studied international relations at the University of Washington in Seattle. Olimpija teaches mixed research methods at the European Consortium for Political Research.
